Matt Boudreau's Broken Radio Studios (San Francisco) recently took delivery of a new pair of Klein & Hummel 0300 monitors. Boudreau, who took over the studio just last year, caters to indie artists looking for a high-end recording environment at affordable rates.

Universal Audio UAD-2 Press Launch
Universal Audio held a Press Launch for UAD-2 on August 22 in San Francisco at Broken Radio Studios. Press flew in from around the country and included editors from Mix, Electronic Musician, Tape Op, Recording, Pro Sound News, Harmony Central, EQ, Keyboard and Remix. The Putnam brothers Bill Jr. and Jim remembered visiting the studio in the early seventies when called Coast. Their father Bill Putnam Sr. had redesigned the rooms in 1970. Part of the presentation included a documentary style video of the band Cannons and Clouds recording several tracks at the studio with Engineer/Owner Matt Boudreau and Producer Mike Winger and Mixing with the UAD-2.
